Mughal Medical Centre Information

Kensington Partnership has been made aware that a few patients received a call claiming to be from another practice. The caller falsely claims that Mughal Medical Centre will be closed for 6-12 months and that the patient will be registered at another practice in the interim. We would like to assure you that Mughal Medical Centre is open as usual, will not be closing and all our patients remain registered with us. If you receive a call like this, never disclose any personal details with the caller, end the call immediately and inform Kensington Partnership.

Dr Abbas appointed Honorary Professor at University Of Bradford

We are pleased to announce our very own Dr Sohail Abbas has been appointed Honorary Professor within the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Bradford! Alongside his existing roles as Director of Population Health & Inequalities at BDCHCP, Deputy Medical Director at West Yorkshire ICB, Chair of Health Inequalities Network and GP Partner here at Kensington Partnership - Dr Abbas will be working closely with the Faculty of Health Studies, utilising his 20+ years of experience working within the NHS to help educate and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. Dr Abbas said: "I am delighted to have been nominated and conferred the title of Honorary Professor at the University of Bradford. January Closures for Staff Training

All Kensington Partnership practices will be closed Wednesday 18th October from 12pm for staff training. PATCHS will be switched off & calls will be directed to our out-of-hours service - you can call 111/999 should you need to in an emergency – we will not be available for any patient queries. We will re-open across all practices as normal from 8am Thursday 18th January.

2024 GP Patient Survey

Around 2.4 million people, aged 16 and over, who are registered with a GP practice in England will receive an invitation to take part in Europe’s biggest patient experience survey in early January. The answers we get help the NHS to improve local health services for people like you and your family. It is important that we hear about your experiences even if you haven’t visited your GP practice recently, or if you have filled in a questionnaire before. The invitations go out mostly by letter to a random selection of people who have been registered with their GP practice for at least 6 months. The survey team at NHS England will follow this up with a text message reminder (where a mobile number is available) alongside further paper questionnaires to encourage as high a response rate as possible. Festive Coffee Mornings

What a fab end to the year with our festive coffee mornings! A lot of us working at Kensington Partnership donned our best and most festive Christmas jumpers to bring a bit of festive cheer to our patients We helped patients sign up for online services along with advice from our wonderful Social Prescribers and a visit from Bradford Genes and Health - thanks to all turned up! Lower Grange & Mughal Medical Centres will be closed from Friday 22nd December and will reopen on Tuesday 2nd January Kensington Partnership & Woodroyd Medical Centre will be closed on Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th December and Monday 1st January Even if you are a patient at a closed surgery you can still visit Kensington Partnership & Woodroyd Medical Centre if needed Please ensure you have enough medicine over the Christmas period, repeat prescriptions can be ordered on the NHS App, SystmOnline and in surgery The NHS Website has plenty of great advice and information on how to treat common illnesses if you need help whilst we are closed.
