Important Information
There are many viruses that cause sore throats, colds or coughs, which usually get better without needing medical treatment. However, some children can develop a bacterial infection that make them more unwell. One of these bacteria is called Group A Strep. This can cause a sore throat, red rash on the body or fever, but becoming very unwell is rare. Advice for parents on symptoms to look out for and what to do can be found at - www.wyhealthiertogether.nhs.uk
